Che Detroit Marine Historian Journal of MARINE HISTORICAL SOCIETY of Detroit Volume 18, No. 9 May, 1965 BOR-10, 1910... BRITANNIA KEN SMITH COLLECTION OB-LO DAYS are here again, just as they were in 1910 when this happy throng crowded the rails of the BRITANNIA on their way to enjoy an outingon Bob-Lo Island. Latter-day Bob-Lo buffs include our own Bob-Lo Boat Watchers, an active though unofficial contingent of the Marine Historical Society. They meet ev- ery Sunday morning on the bow of the 10 o’clock boat, armed with binoculars, cameras and marine radios, to spend a few pleasant hours on the Detroit River watching the freighters go by. The first meeting ofthe 1965 season will be on Sunday, Memorial Day, May 30. Won’t you join us? May Meeting in Port Huron Our last meeting at Port Huron was so enjoyable, we thought it would be nice to hold another there soon. So our next regular meeting is scheduled for the Port Huron Y.M.C.A. on Saturday, May 22. The Rev. Edward J. Dowling, S.J., will talk about “The Silver Stackers,” a history of the Pittsburgh Fleet. Come early. Bring a picnic lunch to the park.
