Main propulsion system con- sists of a Canadian General Electric steam turbine delivering 9000 H.P. at 100 R.P. M. Steam is supplied by two Foster Wheeler water tube boilers fitted with Bailey automated controls. An 800 H.P. KaMeWa bow thruster has been fitted to assist in navigation of narrow channels.
