Zeleznik MAPLECLIFFE HALL (Can. 326400) Built by Canadian Vickers Limited (Hull 287) at Montreal, Quebec. Funds for construction were provided by The Industrial Acceptance Corporation; she is operated by the Hall Corporation of Canada. This vessel was built in two sections and joined in the Vanier floating drydock at Vickers' yard. Her con- struction started in May, 1965, and the completed vessel entered service in May of 1966. Of maximum Seaway dimensions, principle particulars are as fol- lows: 730' 0.a.1., by 75' beam, by 39' depth, 17,831 gross tons and 13,307 net tons. Main propulsion system consists of four Robert Morse diesel en- gines, coupled to one shaft, developing 8000 h.p. Control of the engines is available from either the wheelhouse or engine room, the propeller being of the variable pitch type.
