Main propulsion consists of four Fairbanks-Morse diesel en- gines driving through a single shaft and turning a four-blade Ka-Me- Wa variable-pitch propeller. Control of the main engine is available in either wheelhouse or engineroom. An 800-hp Ka-Me-Wa bowthruster unit has been fitted to assist in controlling the vessel in confined areas.
