She was a Minesweeper built as HULL 1019 by Amship at Cleveland in 1945. (a. AM-388, from Navy ILERI (a.LAKE GAITHER, b.TEXAS RANGER, c.EMPIRE SNIPE, d.STAX- TON) owned by Mustafa Ve Ahmet Ve Venbi Aldikacti Vaporculuk Kollectie Sirketi, Istanbul, Turkey, was broken up in Turkey in 1968. She was a WWI "laker" built as HULL 108 by Manitowoc SB & DD Co. in 1919. (We had to use this item for the name) MANITOBA arrived under tow at Newport, Monmouthshire, England, on July 19 to be broken up by John Cashmore, Ltd. United Metals was to scrap barge HILDA (McAllister-Ryke's, not Roen's) but she was in such bad shape they towed her out of Kingston and intentionally sank her.
