One to Stay, One to Go SILVER BAY and KINSMAN VOYAGER were winter berthmates at Toledo when Fr. Donahue made this photo but separation was nearing. SILVER BAY has been renamed JUDITH PIERSON and will operate for Westdale Steam- ships this year. But KINSMAN VOYAGER has been sold for scrap to Marine Salvage, ending a career that began in 1907 when she was launched by Superior Shipbuilding, Superior, Wis., as H. P. BOPE. ooo0o MARJORIE LYKES came into the Lakes in April, the first time that an American Flag salty had traded into the Lakes in many years. Her entrance, to load machinery at Milwaukee for Russia, was the first of three to 10 sailings a year from the Lakes under a_ subsidy to Lykes from the Maritime Commission. The subsidy runs through 1977. ooooo The Bob-Lo boat on Page One was the STE. CLAIRE before she was remo- delled and the year was 1938. This year for the first time since 1900 the Bob-Lo boats will be operating from a new dock below Cobo Hall where the foot of Third would be if it still extended to the River. Anew ticket office and sheltered waiting area have been provided on the site formerly occupied by the ethnic festivals.
