We list one of these in this issue. Others will follow.) The Republic Steel Corporation operated its own vessels from 1951 un- til a few years ago. The fleet was composed of the vessels listed below. The colars of the Republic ships were: black hull, white cabins and orange-red stack with black top, and black and white company em- blem on the sides. For a few years the black hulls carried a white ribbon running full length and the name "Republic Steel Corporation" in white letters on the ships' sides.
