The tug S.M.FISCHER L.M.C.F.T.CO.Fleet, Concluded. ("B" and "C") Two barges thus designated are listed as owned by the company and appear in Great Lekes Register from 1899 to 1903 Incl. We suspect they were similar to "A" and were probably used for hauling materials to Peshtigo for railroad construction. Or pos- sibly the two were proposed and never built, or never documented if built. Information will be welcomed in this regard. J.C.AMES (ex J.C.PERRETT), wooden tug, built at Manitowoc by Burger in 1882 for Marinette Barge Line. 160 x 29 x 13, 537 g.t. Bought by LMCFTCo in 1895 and sold in 1908 to Nau Tug Line of Green Bay. L,ter owned by the Newaygo Tug Line. Abandoned due to age, 1923. S.M.FISCHER, steel tug built for the line by Craig at Toledo in 1896. 139 x 31 x 31. Sold in 1911 to Reid Wrecking Co, Sold again to the French Government in 1917 and apparently never returned to the United States. Her inclusion in U.S.Me®chant Vessels, 1920 -1923 as registered inDuluth seems to be an error. The 1924 edition of USMV drops the FISCHER without explanation.
