Paterson and Sons Fleet recently took delivery of a new carrier. Named SOODOC (ii) (C.369043), she is a sister-ship to last year's addition, the ONTADOC (ii). SOODOC was built at Collingwood Shipyards and was launched on April 29, 1976. She is 355 feet, 6 inches in overall length, 49 feet at the beam and has a depth of 30 feet, 6 inches. Tonnages are registered at 4,490.45 gross and 3,176.59 net, while the deadweight freshwater capacity is 7,250 tons or 328,308 bushels of grain. Like most of the recent Paterson additions, SOODOC can trade on the Lakes or the oceans. She is strengthened to the Lloyd's classification of Al Ice Class III. The (Cont'd.
