Middleton of Kansas City, Missouri passed to his eternal reward. Ed was a great supporter of our Society as well as many Marine societies around the lakes. He was one of the authors of our most recent book, GREAT LAKES SHIPS WE’ REMEMBER II and our Marine Historian for 1984. His special interest was in Lake Michigan passenger vessels which was engendered by his annual summer trips to his cottage near Whitehall, Michigan. He corresponded with many ship enthusiasts and did much research on his favorite Lake Michigan vessels. We will all miss him and we extend our deepest sympathy to his family. May his soul rest in peace. ee re) a id
