COVELL, U.S. 92006) Wooden passenger and freight vessel, built at Manitowoc in 1888 by Rand & Burger as a steam barge for Campbell & Co. of Whitehall, Michigan. 130 x 27 x 10, originally 261 gross tons, later raised to 371 gross tons. Chartered from Pere Marquette Line Steamers by Crosby occasionally in early years of this century. Engines removed in 1933 and briefly used as a barge.
