Conrad, a retired Holland businessman, announced he had purchased the " Michigan-Wisconsin Transportation's carferry operations from Glen Bowden, including the Carferrys BADGER, SPARTAN, and CITY OF MIDLAND 41. Conrad has formed Michigan Trans-Lake Shortcut, Inc. to operate the Carferrys, and plans to renovate and begin operating BADGER May 1 through September 15 of next year. Conrad also hopes to eventually get all three carferrys back in operation.
