p.2 Murray Canal - work suspended for winter.

p.3 Sailors Get The Money - Vessel men who have made up their books find that they have made nothing during the past year. The freight they received paid expenses and wages only. They are out the percentage on the money invested. They claim that the demands of sailors for high wages will soon cause steam crafts to take the place of sailing ones.

Here & There - The paragraph about the leasing of the steamers Peerless and Magnet to the Toronto, Grey and Bruce R.R. is in error so far as the Peerless is concerned. It is a missprint for Passport.
