p.3 Arrival of Machinery - Today the bed-plate, shaft, wheel and bearings for the steambarge D.D. Calvin, of Garden Island, arrived by the G.T.R. The load was one of the largest that has ever reached here on one car. The weight was 36,930 lbs. All the machinery was taken over to the Island excepting the bedplate, which weighs nine tons, and the wheel. These will remain in the city until navigation opens.
