p.2 Obituary - The Departed - The death has occurred of Mrs. Hennessey, who has lived on West street for over 43 (48 ?) years past. She bore the respect which so old and estimable a resident won from a wide circle of acquaintances, and was admired for the fortitude with which she endured her early afflictions, both husband and son meeting with fatal accidents, one on the steamer Comet and the other at the Sydenham St. C.M. Church. Her care of the young family left to her thus was of the tenderest kind, and her two daughters are now extended heartfelt sympathy for the loss of so good a mother, their only home companion.

Died - in Kingston, on March 11th, May Hennessey, relict of Mr. Coleman Hennessey, aged (68 ?) years. Funeral from her late residence, No. 15 West Street, on Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Friends and acquaintances are respectfully invited to attend. May her soul rest in peace.

Mr. Power, Chicago, has nearly completed his inspection of the Canadian and American branches of the Sailors' Union. There are now nearly 7,000 men in the organization.

The suit brought by the owners of the wrecked canal boats Carrie and Cora, against the tug M.J. Cummings, has been postponed until April 16th.

The schr. O'Gorman, now lying at Portsmouth, was sold on Saturday in accordance with the order of the Maritime Court. She realized $500.

The str. Rothesay, lying here, will, on the opening of navigation, go to Montreal and receive a new steel boiler.
