MARINE INTELLIGENCE.

The schr. Erie Queen has been abandoned.

The tug Glyde and four barges arrived today from Montreal, light.

The schr. Fabiola has arrived at Breck & Booth's wharf with coal from Oswego.

Garden Island - arrivals: schrs. Augusta, timber; T.R. Merritt, Toledo, timber.

The prop. Canada, from Port Arthur, lightened 6,000 bush. oats at the M.T. Co.'s dock.

The tug Thompson arrived with four barges, light, from Montreal and left with them for Oswego.

The barges Jet and Alabama have arrived from Montreal with 3,000 bags of salt for Gunn & Co.

The str. Sumner will run from Oswego to the Thousand Islands until the str. Ontario is completed.

The str. St. Lawrence went out for a spin last night with a large number of persons on board. She showed great speed.

The schrs. Gaskin and Glenora, on their way to Kingston with grain, arrived at Port Colborne yesterday morning.

Swift's - Arrivals: prop. Celtic, from Montreal; Corsican, from Prescott; Algerian, from Toronto; Crusoe, from the Rideau Canal.

It will puzzle anyone except the Oswego Palladium man to understand how the Kingston forwarders can be held accountable for the shortages and overplusses of the Chicago elevators.

Rathbun's dock - Arrivals: Gazelle, Napanee, soft wood. Departures: Tett's fleet of barges (Manitoba, Ontario and Quebec), Ottawa; schr. Flora Carveth, Charlotte; and schr. A.M. Foster, Oswego, light.

Supplying The Lighthouses - The prop. Celtic reached this port last night. She is serving the lighthouses along the Canadian frontier, under the supervision of Messrs. P. Harty and J.A. Robertson, with their annual supplies. She left Montreal on Monday and supplied ? stations up to last night. There are some 125 lighthouses altogether to be visited. The steamer will go forty miles beyond Port Arthur, to Victoria Island, the trip occupying six weeks. She carries about 400 tons of supplies, including 420 barrels of oil. Capt. Cavers, in command, is a very genial fellow. At Toronto and Hamilton a number of excursionists embark on the propeller.
