p.2 The tug Jessie Hall arrived with seven barges light from Montreal and left with 4 barges and 80,000 bush. of corn for Montreal.

The New Steamer's Speed - The str. St. Lawrence had another trial trip last evening, and ran from Kingston to Nine Mile Point in 26 min., a speed of about 14 4/5 miles per hour.

MARINE INTELLIGENCE.

The tug Active, schrs. Gaskin and Glenora left for Toledo today light.

Capt. Merryman says the schr. Sam Cook will be on top of the water in a day or so.

Swift's arrivals - strs. Corsican, Prescott; Corinthian, Toronto; Algerian, Montreal.

Rathbun's dock - The schr. Fabiola is loading lumber. Departures - Two Brothers, Gazelle, Lorraine, Deseronto, light.

The dredge Ontario, recently built at Tonawanda, N.Y., is at work in the Napanee River. The tug Sir John is attending her.

The M.T. Co.'s shovellers, in order to take part in 12th of July celebration, got to work this morning before daylight on the schrs. Gaskin and Glenora and had these vessels emptied of 80,000 bush. of corn before the procession moved.

Capt. McLeod, of the Buffalo Board of Underwriters, has sold the cargo of the sunken Erie Queen to a Buffalo firm, and the craft to Capt. Merryman and Geo. Hall of Ogdensburg. The vessel will be raised. It and the cargo were insured for $16,500.
