p.1 Foot Of The Island News - str. Crusoe at Mitchell's wharf loading barley for Richardson & Co.

p.3 Incidents Of The Day - Albert Johnson bought the Empire Dry Dock this morning for $800. He secured it by auction.

The last steamer for Montreal of the R. & O. Nav. Co. will be the Algerian, on Thursday morning, Oct. 23rd.

MARINE INTELLIGENCE.

The tug McArthur cleared today with a load of withs for Collinsby.

Prop. Celtic, Montreal, arrived at Swift's wharf, and the steamers Ida and Nile left for Ottawa.

The sloop Idle Wild, from Wolfe Island, unloaded 1,600 bushels of barley and wheat at Richardson's.

The schr. Delaware cleared from Napanee for Oswego with 11,000 bushels of barley. The rate was 2 cents.

The prop. City of Montreal is ashore at the Sault and will have to be lightered off. She is insured for $11,200.

Vessel captains say that on leaving it is impossible to see Nine Mile light (unreadable) surround it.

The str. Watertown, which has been at Powers' shipyard for some time undergoing repairs, left for Buffalo today. She will run the ferry between Fort Erie and Buffalo.

The steamer Hastings went to the rescue of the disabled steamer Corinthian at Presque Isle this morning. The steamer broke her beam while trying to work off the sand bar upon which she ran during the gale.
