p.1 Deseronto Echos - steam barge Resolute cleared with lumber for Oswego, Capt. Gowan.

p.3 Building A New Boat - The str. Ida having been sold to Mr. Chamberlain, Capt. Noonan and Wm. Bajus have given Mr. Davis the contract to build them a boat, to run between Kingston and Smith's Falls. As Mr. Davis has built a number of boats for the canal we have no doubt this will be a good one. Her dimensions will be: keel, 75 ft.; beam, 16 ft.; rate of speed, 12 miles per hour. She will be nicely fitted up, and have plenty of passenger accommodation. She will be ready to run at the opening of navigation in the spring.
