p.2 Incidents Of The Day - The captain of the White Oak hired men today for $1.25 per day to go to Cape Vincent with her.

Mr. R. Davis builds a new tug for Mr. Beckford, Buckingham, and McEwen & Son supply the engine and boiler.

The sloop Lorraine is fast in the ice at Long Island, and the sloop Pilot is in the same predicament near Knapp's Point.
