p.1 District Dashes - Capt. Bennett, of str. Farrington, next summer to run str. Magic, in connection with Jessie Bain, between Round Island Park and Clayton.
p.3 Late Marine News - Messrs. W. Miller, second engineer, and A. McBride, chief engineer of the Magnet; P. Flanigan, second engineer of the Spartan, and W. Parker, late of the str. Active, but who was lately appointed engineer of the steamer Lothair, left for Owen Sound yesterday.
Incidents Of The Day - schr. Freeman loading rye at Belleville for Oswego.
A New Steam Yacht - A number of citizens are having a small yacht built on Wolfe Island. She will be 35 feet long, 6 feet beam, and will have a Shipman coal oil engine. Dr. Curtis is improving the yacht General Garfield for this season's pleasure and racing.
Very Thick Ice - The ice in Portsmouth harbor is said to be 4 ft. 9 inches thick.
