p.2 A Short Trip on the Rideau Canal - aboard str. Ottawa, Capt. Ryan - some description of boat and captain, as well as some villages; the Ottawa was last winter thoroughly repaired, and had an upper cabin added for gentlemen. (over a full column)

The Collingwood Route - The steamer Ontonago (sic) arrived at Collingwood from Chicago on Saturday, connecting with the morning train. Her cargo consisted of 5000 bushels wheat for Oshawa, 2000 barrels flour, 23,000 lbs. leather, tallow etc., with 15 passengers. She cleared the same night for Chicago with a fair wind.

Provincial Canals - Reduction of Tolls - to take effect on the 15th on Welland and St. Lawrence canals. [Colonist]
