Steamboat Collision on Lake Ontario. - As the steamers Sovereign and Transit were coming out of the Toronto Harbor together Tuesday the Transit in order to prevent Sovereign from passing, endeavored to run her upon the shore. The Sovereign thereupon steered directly for the Transit, striking her wheel house which was carried away and demolishing her wheel. In lurching off the Sovereign ran upon a sand bar, which carried away her rudder. Both boats being thus disabled, the Queen took the passengers from both boats.
