      Melancholy Marine Disaster.
The schooner NWKICK, Capt. Sias, of about 40 tons burthen, cleared from this port on Friday the 9th instant for Cape Vincent, partially loaded with merchandize. She touched at Sackets Harbor and discharged part of her cargo on the same day, and proceeded from thence for Cape Vincent, and when near the mouth of the St. Lawrence was overtaken by the sudden squall of Friday evening and capsized, and every person on board is supposed to have been lost.
There were eight persons on board when the NEKICK left Sackets Harbor, among them Capt. Sias and his wife with several passengers. The NEKICK was discovered floating bottom side up in the river on Saturday and we understand was towed into Cape Vincent. Our information is derived from vessels which came up on Saturday, the schooner PATRICK HENRY, and the steamer CLINTON, and is not sufficiently full to determine with certainty as to the fate of those on board the NEKICK, but it is of such a character with the attending circumstances as to warrant the belief that all on board perished.
