Steam screw JOSEPH MEDILL.* U. S. No. 206150. Of 309 tons gross; 30 tons net. Built at Manitowoc, Wis., in 1908. Home port, Chicago, Ill. 104.0 x 28.2 x 16.0 Fire boat service. Crew of 18. Of 1,320 indicated horse power. Owned by City of Chicago.
      * Formerly steam screw A.E. ACKERMAN.

NOTE:-- The 1909 Merchant Vessel List includes the JOSEPH MEDILL, and she is listed right up till 1928 with no rename. The 1928, 29, and 31 List gives the A.E. ACKERMAN as her former name, I could find no such vessel and believe it to be an error.
