My father was first mate and captain of the LS Wescoat in the 1940s. I sailed with him when I was five (in 1948) from Toledo to Chicago and vividly remember stops along the way, but mostly being scared out of my wits going from the wheel house to the Galley on the shoulders of one of the crew. I am seeking photographs of the ship and any information about its history.
