On Tuesday last, a race took place between the sail boat LAPWING, owned by Wm. Love & Co., Wm. Hall, master, and the FLASH, belonging to G. Southwick, of Erie, Pa., S. Cumming, master, on a bet of $50, from Buffalo harbor, to Point Abino, a distance of 12 miles. The LAPWING won by about 4 miles. This excellent boat is emplyed by Love & Co. as a ferry boat between this and Fort Erie.
