Smith's Falls, Aug. 5 - LAUNCH - A beautiful schooner, built by Mr. Ayerst, of Kingston, was launched here today. An immense concourse of people was present, and, amid the cheers of all, the vessel glided off the stocks into the water with the utmost grace. She is named the " ACACIA," measures 113 feet; 24 feet 6 inch beam, and 10 feet hold, with a tonnage of about 240 tons. She cost $16,000. Before the launch the Corporation of Smith's Falls presented her with a splendid flag.
