The schr. ALVORD which came out new last year, but driven ashore last fall on Lake Huron and recently repaired at Capt. Jones' shipyard, has been purchased by R.G. Stimson, of this city, on private terms. She is now in fine running order and commanded by Capt. Cotton, late of the schr. COL. COOK. She sails today for Alpena thence to Chicago.
