Argo (Schooner), U362, 17 Sep 1867
- Full Text
The schr. ARGO, which on more than one occasion has had her obituary written, pronounced a total loss, either by swamping, plunging, on to reefs or pilings on to some old dilapidated harbor, still exsists, and although in the 20th year of her exsistance outwardly will well compare with many others of much lesser years. She passed up on Sunday on her return to Chicago where she is owned, having quite recently brought a cargo of lumber from that section to Buffalo. She was built at Sackett's, Lake Ontario in 1847.
