St. Catharines, Aug. 20 - LAUNCH - The new propeller ASIA, which has been building for some time past at Mr. Simpson's ship-yard, was launched yesterday afternoon about a quarter past 4 o'clock, being christened by Miss Titterington the daughter of one of the shareholders in the company who owns her. Her cost is reported to be $35,000. She is the same size as the LAKE ERIE, and is capable of carrying 16,000 bushels. The cabin is not yet furnished but will be fitted in splendid style by Messrs. McIntyre & Son.
