Port Burwell, May 25 - LAUNCH. - Notwithstanding that it rained from early morn until nearly noon, a large crowd of people, estimated at about 3,000, assembled to witness the launch and participate in the sports arranged in celebrating Her Majesty's birthday. About noon the fine new timber vessel, built by L. McDermand, for Messrs. Freeman & Titus, was launched. She is full canal size, has a capacity of 23,000 bushels of grain. She was called the EDWARD BLAKE in compliment of the Premier of Ontario. Mr. Freeman intends laying the keel of another similar vessel next week. Everything passed off pleasantly.
