Moonlight Excursion - Arrangements are being made for a grand moonlight excursion on the WIARTON BELLE, under the auspices of the Wiarton Lacrosse Club, on the evening of Saturday the 6th of September.

Excursion to Owen Sound - Capt. Dunn arrived her at an early hour this morning with his new steamer. She left at 8:30 with the largest excursion party on board that ever left Wiarton. We heard that a christening ceremony took place at the wharf before the steamer started and she was christened the WIARTON BELLE.

Hand bills were issued yesterday morning announcing that Capt. Dunn would arrive here with his new steamer last evening at 9:30, and at 10:00 the ceremony of christening her would take place. Accordingly, at the time indicated, about 300 people gathered at the wharf to welcome the captain, but we regret to say that after waiting until past midnight, and neither captain or his boat showing up, they all went home disgusted. We would suggest to Capt. Dunn not to repeat the "sell."
