Chinook (Steam yacht), 18 May 1895

Description
Full Text

On Thursday afternoon an interesting ceremony took place near the foot of Hertel Ave. when about 150 people witnessed the launching of the CHINOOK, a boat which was designed and built by William Ward Plummer, the 17 year old son of William E. Plummer, Jr.
The hull was begun March 16, and the keel laid May 10.
The length of the CHINOOK over all is 38 ft. and she is a very handsome little craft. Even the engine was made by the young builder. He was the recipient of many ongratulations.
