SALE OF THE SCHOONER "JOSEPH COCHRANE" - Capt. Rogers has just sold the schooner JOSEPH COCHRANE to Messrs. Parker & Allen, of Buffalo. The price paid is not divulged, but it was no doubt a round sum, as vessel property is high. The COCHRANE was built of Genesee oak and it has proved a very profitable craft to its owners, and is still nearly as good as it ever was. The COCHRANE is a three master, rigged fore and aft, and will carry, we believe, 16,000 or 17,000 bushels of grain.

Sale of the Schooner JOSEPH COCHRANE. - We learn from Capt. Rogers that he has just sold the schooner JOSEPH COCHRANE to Messrs. Parker & Allen, of Buffalo. The price paid is not divulged, but it was no doubt a round some, as vessel property is high. The COCHRANE was built by Capt. Rogers at this port, four years ago, of Genesee oak, and it has proved a very profitable craft to its owner, and is still nearly as good as it ever was. Capt. R. builds his vessels for his own trade chiefly, and not to sell, hence, they are often superior craft. The Genesee fleet belonging to him, are as fine vessels as plow the lakes. The COCHRANE is a three-master, rigged fore and aft, and will carry, we believe, sixteen or seventeen thousand bushels of grain.
