Ward's new steamer, the E.K. COLLINS, appears to be winning laurels on Lake Michigan. The Chicago Tribune of Thursday says she "arrived from Milwaukee yesterday afternoon, one hour and 15 minutes ahead of the GARDEN CITY, both boats having started out together. The COLLINS gained 23 minutes on her rival, from Milwaukee to Racince, distance 28 miles."
