Congress (Propeller), 4 Aug 1868
- Full Text
A special invitation has been given out to a number of our steamboat owners and other prominent citizens to step on board the steamer CONGRESS this afternoon, at 2:30, foot of Woodward Ave., to witness the experiment of burning crude oil for generating steam in the place of wood or coal. Those more directly interested it is a matter of the highest importance, and we may expect a good attendance.
