Maritime History of the Great Lakes

F. L. Danforth (Schooner), 20 May 1872

Description
Full Text

A new 3-masted schooner appeared in our river Saturday afternoon with the name F.L. DANFORTH flying at the masthead. She was constructed at Tonawanda by Mr. Jones, who, we believe, is part owner with Mr. Danforth. Her fine appearance at the dock attracts the admiration and favorable comments of both sailors and landsmen. With her sails and other outfit which will be supplied here, the craft will be ready for service.
