The new canal tug M.M. DRAKE, named after the Superintendent of the Union Dock Company's yards, has made her appearance in the harbor and attracts much favorable comment. She is owned by Capt. J.B. Blake and Mr. W.L. Day, the former of whom is her master and the latter the engineer. Her dimensions are given as follows: Length over all, 48 feet 6 inches; breadth, 12 feet 4 inches; depth of hold, 5 feet 6 inches. Her engines were built by Sutton Brothers and have 14 x 14 cylinders. Her owners value her at $3,500.
