ANOTHER VESSEL IN LAKE SUPERIOR:-- The schooner GEORGE W. FORD, of Milwaukee, has just reached the head of the Portage over the railway route, and will be launched today into the waters of the great lake. Capt. John Parker takes his vessel over the Portage, and will run her as a copper carrying packet, between this place and Ontonagon, and a better vessel to her tonnage, cannot be found for this place. She has proved a fast sailor on land, and she is known as a good sailor on the water. - - - Lake Superior Jour., May 28th.
