Gleniffer (Schooner), 29 Apr 1873

St. Catharines, April 29 - LAUNCH - Mr. J.P. Abbey, of Port Robinson, launched a fine schooner from his shipyard today. She was named the GLENIFFERIN, and the christening ceremony was performed by Miss Alice Norris, daughter of Captain James Norris, of St. Catharines. The new vessel is a splendid specimen of naval architecture, and was built for Mr. James Norris of this place.

At St. Cathrines, Mr. J.P. Abbey, of Port Robinson, recently launched a fine schooner, named the GLENIFFERIN. The vessel was built for Mr. James Morris, is full canal size, and represented as a splendid specimen of naval architecture.
