William Harrison (Steamboat), 4 Oct 1893
Description
Full Text

There appears to be a possibility that the Buffalo & Niagara River Navigation Co. will not run the steamer HARRISON on the Falls route next season. The HARRISON made money this year, but the company were at large expense for repairs and other necessary disbursements. The steamer SHREWSBURY was sold by this company with the expectation that the money paid for her would liquidate all outstanding claims, and so it would if the Toledo parties who bought the SHREWSBURY had kept up the payments on the notes they gave. As near as can be ascertained but $5,000 out of the purchase price of over $40,000 has been paid, and the steamer is tied up on a libel at Toledo. Unless the SHREWSBURY is settled for it may be that the HARRISON will have to be sold.
