SALE OF A SCHOONER. - A seven-sixteenths interest in the schooner WILLIAM HOME was sold in from of the post-office yesterday on mortgage sale, and was knocked down to Herbert Bowen, trustee, for $4,000. The reasons for the sale are as follows; on the 21st. of April 1877, Mr. John A.H. Campbell, at that time owner of the vessel, executed at Cape Vincent, a mortgage bill of sale to Herbert Bowen, trustee, which was on October 30, following, transferred to the Merchants' Bank of Canada. Default was made in the stipulated payments, hence the sale. At the above rate, the vessel would sell for $9,150.
