Yesterday was another prosperous one for the excursion boats and thousands of persons sought comfort on the lake and at various resorts. There was a good breeze blowing but not of sufficient strength to deter the most timid from venturing.
The CITY OF THE STRAITS carried a very large passenger list to Dunkirk and everybody was pleased. Manager Rebstock of the Crystal Beach line had more people seeking passage on his boat than he could accommodate, with his fleet crippled. The WHITE STAR failed to put in an appearance and the AMERICA of the International Transportation Co. made one trip to the Beach. She could not do more, the business down the river requiring her attention. The LINCOLN and CRYSTAL made numerous trips. It was late last night when all the Crystal Beach visitors were returned to the foot of Main St. Other excursion boats were well patronized.
