On Saturday last, Capt. W.B. Morley launched one of the largest propellers ever built at Marine City. She is 193 x 33 x 10 and 1,000 tons, and is the finest double decker that has been built here. She is called the JARVIS LORD and is designed for the grain or iron ore trade. Wm. Cowie of Detroit is building the engine which is low pressure and measures 42 x 32 inch cylinder.

The new stmb. JARVIS LORD arrived in port yesterday. She is the first craft from the port of Duluth this season. Her cargo consists of 27,800 bu. of wheat for R.R. Buck. The LORD was constructed at Marine City, has 2 masts and is in every respect a seaworthy craft.
