bay City, Mich., Sept. 20. -- John Kerderhouse's new steambarge OREGON, built at Crosthwaite's ship yard, on the west side of the river, was successfully launched at 4 P. M. The dimensions are: Kee; 200 feet, beam 33 feet, hold 14 feet.

According to a news report at the time (Bay City Daily Tribune), PLYMOUTH's original engine and boiler went into the new steamer OREGON when the latter was built at the Crosthwaite Shipyard at Bay City, Michigan, in 1882. The engine was a steeple compound with low pressure cylinder of 50x40 inches and high pressure of 26 3/4x40 inches. PLYMOUTH became OREGON's regular towbarge.
