- Description
- Black and white real photo postcard of the tugboat T. J. SCOTT and J. Harrison & Sons' small freighter NORTHERN. At the right of the card is the stern of the Mohawk Navigation Company's CAPTAIN C. D. SECORD (originally the American Laker CHARLES R. VAN HISE, 1900)
- Notes
- The photograph likely dates from shortly after 1945 when, according to Mills, Harrison & Sons of Owen Sound bought the NORTHERN (ex. WATCHFUL, 1911). As WATCHFUL she sailed out of Saint Pierre and Miquelon during American prohibition. Both NORTHERN and the SECORD moved into Canadian registry about 1936
