MARINE NEWS
The Detroit Free Press says.--Captain Ward's splendid new steamer ARCTIC will be here early next week and will commence her trips on the 15th. The other three steamers building for him will all be out this season. The CASPIAN and PEARL on the 1st.July and the RUBY on the 1st. of August.
We give the following statement of their dimensions and propelling power---
      feet length feet beam feet hold
      ARCTIC 240 30 12
      CASPIAN 255 30 12 and a half
      PEARL 165 21 8
      RUBY 165 21 8

      tonnage feet stroke inch cylinder
      ARCTIC 800 10 51
      CASPIAN 1050 10 60 and a quarter
      PEARL 280 9 34 and a half
      RUBY 280 8 34
