Lake passenger traffic between this city and Cleveland was opened for the season yesterday, when the CITY OF ERIE of the Cleveland & Buffalo Transit Co.'s linearrived in this port. The ERIE left last night for Cleveland. She will alternate with the stm. CITY OF BUFFALO in daily trips out of this city for Cleveland until about June 18th, when the big SEEANDBEE will be added to the service.
"There is every reason for believeing that the passenger traffic on the lakes will be unusually heavy this season," said George A. Bomm, local representative of the C.& B. Line, "and of course we expect to get our share of it. Our weekend excursions to Cleveland last summer proved decidedly popular and it is reasonable to assume that a greater number of persons will this season avail themselves of the opportunity for the rest and recreation which these trips offer."
