The barge JOHN SHERMAN is now at Toledo. She was originally the United States revenue cutter JOHN SHERMAN. The SHERMAN was a sidewheeler, and one of the fastest boats on the chain of lakes. She ran on the Saginaw and Alpena route and was finally converted into a tow-barge.
